The first time I met Elaine, I was trimming her hair. I love that she gave clear and exact directions on how she wanted/expected it to look. Having no idea on that day, I would spend time with her at the curling club and Kiwanis for many years to come. There was a brief period of time, I only saw her about once a year. Then I had the pleasure of seeing her on Fridays getting her hair done at the same place I would take my mom. I will cherish her smile, kindness, and generous heart always. My condolences to the family

Remembering Elaine and David from the Kiwanis Christmas parties in Saint John in late 50's and early 60's and the sing along Carols. Reconnected with Elaine at the Bridge Club in St Stephen / St Andrews where she played for many years. Such a lovely spirit and a great company. Our sympathy to her family and especially to Julie from the Bridge Club. David hart for the Charlotte County Duplicate Bridge Club

Thank-you David and Charlotte Co Bridge Club. I did not realize you knew them from the Saint John Kiwanis Club. Likely you saw my little sister at 2 yrs of age do her impromptu first dance routine at the Kiwanis Christmas party. Mom and I so enjoyed playing Bridge with the Club. Hope to join you this summer. My wife and I met Elaine and David when I joined Kiwanis. We certainly enjoyed socializing with them. We were fortunate to have been to their beautiful home on the water for more than one get together. Elaine always made us feel welcome, and after David's passing we drove down the lane to breathe in the fresh air and to watch the deer many times. My condolences on your loss.
Julie Posted Apr 22, 2024 at 7:11 PM
Thank-you Roger. The deer, song birds, shore birds, cattle and recently wild turkeys have been a source of unexpected entertainment. We "Robinson Kids" feel blessed that we have shared so many treasured moments here with our parents..

My condolences to you all with the loss of your Mom. Elaine and I enjoyed great times, laughs and chit-chat over many years in our homes at The Bay. May Elaine RIP!

Thank-you Grace. I will always treasure the laughter you and Mom shared for so many years. I will never forget when you and Mom took up crocheting and the race was on to create the first afghan. Mom trotted over to the A-frame to show-off her progress and you stepped on the bottom of yours and stretched above your ahead saying but "look what I've got done"! We laughed so hard!

Thank-you Bill. I will always remember the stories of when Mom & Eleanor had to sneak away to play together as kids and the fun we had when our families got together. Hope our paths cross again soon. It was so good to see you Cassidy and Melissa last March. Julie

I played my first "away" curling bonspiel on Elaine's team. We went all the way to St Andrews from St Stephen and stayed at a local hotel for the weekend. I learned so much from her about curling and life. She was that curler who could look at an impossible situation in the house, go back to the hack with a plan, throw her rock, have it wick and tick and not go to plan, but have a better end result than we could ever have imagined. So many laughs! I will miss her smile and her laugh.
Julie Robinson Small Posted Apr 25, 2024 at 12:47 PM
Thank-you Alana. Mom loved curling and encouraging others to enjoy the game. I am so glad that Mom got to see Rachel Homan's World Women's Curling Gold this year! Mom was very fond you and appreciated your effort on the curling rink and at the tax desk (LOL)! Julie

Hello, I'm so sorry for your loss at this time. It was just so sad that I never made the trip before now. It would have been really nice to have visited y'all. Now I am left with just memories of all the get together's over the years. I will have to make the trip over now that the weather is getting better. Much love to all of you, Theresa Wilcox ( Tina Shields)
Julie Robinson Small Posted Apr 25, 2024 at 12:36 PM
Thank-you Tina. Time passes so quickly and I too have fond memories of our families together; especially your Mom's laugh and your Dad's sense of humour. Perhaps we will have a visit again someday. Ashley will continue living at the house where the cottage was and I have rustic summer place the next cove over. Julie
