I am deeply saddened to know Terrence has passed. I met him about 18 years ago or so when I and my children were under his care at Social Services. He was the best thing to happen to my family. My mother just loved him and would always talk about how handsome and kind he was. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss. Terrence was one of a kind who helped so many people. The world has lost a bright light but heaven has gained an angel.

Alan and I were deeply saddened to hear about Terrence’s death, and we join so many others in extending our sympathy to Donne and all of his loved ones. He was a very special person. I met Terry at my very first Canadian AIDS Society Conference and PHA Forum in Ottawa. He breezed into an Atlantic Caucus meeting and my heart stopped. He had to be one if the cutest men I had met at that point in my life. To say I was smitten was an understatement. But I soon learned Terry was in a long term committed relationship and that he was not interested in anyone else, especially me. But we became fast friends as we both were from PEI, and I idolized him he was a wonderful mentor and I learned a lot of what I knew about HIV/AIDS advocacy and compassion in general from Terry. He has always had a soft spot in my heart. It saddens me deeply to know he has passed on. I lost touch with Terry many years ago as he moved on from National HIV/AIDS work to living life with his husband and owning and operating his own restaurant. I’m glad to learn that he followed his heart and lived a happy and love filled life with his spouse. Godspeed Terry. You certainly left your mark in this planet.
