My very heartfelt condolences to Rogers family.
He was always such a pleasant person, with a kindness that surrounded him.
One memory I have is when I started elementary school in Milltown. I could walk home from school for lunch, as our house was close by. I told my Mother that I didn’t have to go to school anymore. I guess, I figured I’d rather be home watching t.v., or playing. At five years old, this seemed an airtight statement. My Mom sat me down with my dinner, presumably had called the school, and by the time I had finished, Roger was waiting to take me by the hand, and talk a little, as we headed through the yard and back to school. I don’t remember what he said, but it was his kindness that soothed a five year old, and kindness that he carried with him his whole life. I’m sure, many, many people were blessed to have known him. I looked forward to talking when I saw him about town, and after, I always left feeling a little bit better. Roger spread kindness.
